With Francine’s expertise, it is easy and exciting to visualize and design a mosaic project for your space and preferences. The first complementary meeting is an exchange of ideas and objectives for the piece, as she acquaints herself with the location of the potential mosaic. She will discuss design concepts and materials and help you to envision a mosaic that is harmonious with your environment.

Francine Gourguechon has a lifetime of experience in the creative arts and fifteen years designing mosaics. As an artist she takes pride in creating each mosaic and her work is one-of-a-kind and of the highest craftsmanship.

All GOURGUECHON MOSAICS projects are site specific and unique to this site. Respect to the client or designer's vision, the environment of the piece and its visual impact are crucial to each creation. Our goal is to ensure a mosaic project which will be a lasting and harmonious addition to our client's home, garden or commercial space.

Each mosaic is fit together piece-by-piece and grouted with care by Francine and apprentice artists. She combines ceramic and porcelain tile, stone, marble, stained glass, geode slices, river stones, metal pieces and other miscellaneous objects of your liking to compose a striking visual façade or art piece in your space.

Originally from Chicago, Francine attended the Art Institute of Chicago and has a background in photography and painting. She leads mosaic classes in her Chicago studio and at various schools and art centers in Chicago. She has taught groups of young students on public art mosaic projects and taught photography workshops at Columbia College. She currently resides in Chicago but lived in Sonoma County and continues to love and engage with the area.

Gourguechon Mosaics has numerous works in the Chicagoland area and Sonoma County, California. Francine and her work have been featured in Chicago Magazine Home and on HGTV.
